Nothing feels as good as helping those less fortunate. Recently, RRSA Vero Beach was privileged to experience this happening first hand. We saw real compassion in action as our crew put a new roof on His Place Ministries in Melbourne, Florida.

The humble beginnings of His Place Ministries is a beautiful story of overcoming adversity. Terry and Betty Morris began the ministry by holding meetings in their home, with a handful of other folks. Over the next five years, the group rented different places to meet.

To finish the story, read this excerpt from the About Us page on the His Place website, "Since that time we have been conducting Sunday services, weekly support groups, classes, Bible studies, counseling, a residential recovery ministry, a homeless outreach, and ongoing community aid and outreach. In February of 2000, totally by the grace of God, His Place Ministries purchased the old United Church of Christ building on the corner of U.S. 1 and Strawbridge, in downtown Melbourne, where we continue to serve the Lord by loving His people."

That church is the one that RRSA Vero Beach recently re-roofed. We feel honored to have been witnesses to the great things going on at His Place Ministries. Those people stay busy helping the homeless and reaching out to those less fortunate. They prepare a free Sunday dinner, host a cold night shelter, and hold an annual Christmas toy drive. His Place also sponsors missionary trips to the Dominican Republic. This truly is compassion in action. RRSA Vero Beach is really glad we were fortunate enough to be chosen as the roofer in Vero Beach to replace the roof there.
