"Homeowners BEWARE!! This man is advertising as a private contractor or handyman. His state license is fraudulent. He was contracted for a home renovation; $12,000 later the home was a mess and disarray. He arrived to work drunk and hired sketchy employees. He has been taking jobs in Vero Beach and possibly the surrounding areas. Stop this man. He is a scam artist.  PLEASE SHARE!!!  Unfinished paintwork. Uneven counters. Installed broken tile. Trashed the premises. Installed plywood in place of a countertop."

But hold the phone. RRSA Vero Beach is not one to spread gossip. So with due diligence, we researched the problem of unlicensed and disreputable contractors in Vero Beach and found this article from VeroNews.com. The title of the article is, Wait! You Need a Licensed Contractor for That Home Repair Job. The article has quotes from Dave Checchi, an Indian River County contractor licensing investigator, warning Vero Beach homeowners about this issue.

If you are a homeowner in Vero Beach, please take the time to research a contractor before you hire them to work on your most precious asset, your home. This is where you raise your family, so not only do you not want someone doing shoddy work, or be unlicensed and disreputable, you don't want your family around this type of person.
